God I hate playing on PC but it's the only version I have. If your using the mouse would you tell me what you use to use it in game.

Wesker is far more versatile in that he has all grenades at his disposal, the Magnum for big kills, Sniper Rifle which is also a big damage dealer and a decent handgun, mixed in with great melee abilities. That, to me, allows far more success than what Krauser gives but isn't that the thing with Mercenaries - Every character has their positives and can suit some people more than others. I really hate playing as Krauser.

Ugh, you can say that about anything. HE Grenades (All have), Inciderary (Most have) except Krauser who's almost entirely limited to Flash Grenades which are useful but thats all he has. He has the most limited arsenal of the lot and his core non-weapon ability has a long cooldown. If you don't have that, and don't have ammo, say hello to being stuck with a knife only. Krauser is powerful but limited, as I said, which makes him a nieussance. To top it off, his main weapon requires precision.

I've been waiting for my mate to unlock Mercs on his copy of RE4 so long, I really want WeSkEr tho. He's the best in my opinion, hes got shotgun power at close range bcause of the Killer7, handgun for back-up, and long-range sniping. He beats everyone.

holy shit. that's good. I didn't even think of knifeing a knight. I've only been able to knife Regenerators, Iron Maidens, Salvador, and the plagas that eat your head. but I knifed the plaga in a cool way ;) all the others were on the ground, and I was just standing over them :P

it was only on GC. watch attyatt vids. he has a who mess of short cuts that can only be done on the GC version. And hes no noob i would argue hes one of the best re4 gamers out there. He also has a vid of him knifing all the knights in that one room.

Is that glitch for all versions, or just GC?
Anyway, GC version sounds better, but it'll be a pain to try to unlock everything again. or I can just copy my friends GC data since he unlocked everything, but the handcannon

its hard to describe cuz you suppose to use a TMP and shoot a metal door. You know the room right next the cage when you fight 2nd garrador. in the room theres a metal door with a lock on it. If you use the TMP on the other side of the door to break the lock, you can by pass all the dogs. oh get better with the knife. cuz you can just about knife ever enemy and boss.

The best i ever did was beating the main game on PS2 without buying anything, or tuning up anything, so i only used the handgun, shotgun, and broken butterfly. I died around 30 times though, lol.
so what about that dog maze glitch? I never heard about that

really now cuz all the respawn points are the same for all re4 mercenaries. for the GC version you have to do the pro mode, handgun/knife only, no merchant challenge. oh yea and there this special glitch in the chapter with the dog maze.

I've played Hunk on WW on the GC. I got a better score then I got with the PS2 version. Usually I die only once in the PS2 main game, but it's usually by something stupid like the boulder, and It's gotten so easy that I beat the main game in 4:04

mercenaries is way better on GC. like i said you know all those chickens in the village map. Kill them and you actually receive items to use. But other than the chicken everything is the same. oh the laser is PRL412. GC is the original version thats why it doesnt have all the new stuff.

The PS2 version has more unlockables like Ashley's knight costume, Leon's suit, the laser (I forget what it's called) and Seperate Ways. but the GC version seems more fun, and gives me of a challenge, I might get a copy for myeslf. Is Mercenaries more difficult in the GC version?

play on pro mode. the ps2 pro mode, if at full health, took 3 hits to get red lined. it takes 2 hits to die in the GC version. and he mini bosses in the story mode one hit kill you instead of 2 hits. oh and when you kill chickens in mercenaries you actually get grenades instead of nothing.

I already have the PS2 version. It's real easy now. I'm getting the GC version from my friend to help him get the handcannon

if you want the challenge get it for GC. they nerfed the difficulty for PC, ps2, and Wii. As in normal (pc, ps2, wii) feels like easy (GC) and pro (pc, ps2, wii) feels like normal (GC). GC version does not have an easy mode. PC does and you start out with a shotgun.

its better if they are all clustered together. just do the swing and miss tactic, grenade / magnum afterwards.

He focused too much on the head shots. what he shouldve done were body shots because the rifle has piercing rounds. use the magnum for the sisters. or if you keep the handgun shoot the shin and melee. but he was just trying to have fun so i guess w/e.
