I'm not arguing the point that wearing proper protection helps in accidents, by the way. If you want to wear full protection well then good on you and if you don't, well, that's your choice.
If I'm going on a ride I put on my full gear but if I'm just going through the city to get to somewhere then I'll be wearing the same thing as he. I know it's a risk but me and warmth don't mix. Seriously I can't wear more than a t-shirt under my jacket in winter or I sweat buckets.

Except it looks like the fracture is below the knee. Can't be sure if the force was applied directly to where it fractured or because his leg got caught on something while tumbling. The gear might have helped, but it might not have. And again - if you want to protect yourself from other people's mistakes then you're better off not even sitting on the bike in the first place. Don't assume. You know you can have friends that behave differently on the road than you.

My mistake about the knee (i was thinkig about his foor to be protected whit boots). The leather suit has knee procetion too.

Of course its always rider choice to wear or not to wear protection. What kind of gear do you have? You wear boots for knee protection. Dont say you willl swet in boots now. Do you prefer to have your leg amputated and not swet or you prefer to swet and save your leg? By the looks of the friends riding whit him they do wheelies, so its not like they ride normal. If you plan to do stunt wear gear. If you want to ride for long time, wear gear.

You didn't read mine.l said it was his choice to wear the gear. Obv. he could've worn the gear but the gear might not have helped him with that injury. It was a bit below the knee. There are no pads to protect you there. I was in a hospital and rehab for 6 months after my crash. I was between life and death, too. They wanted to amputate my leg. You're not the only one, you know. I can still understand why he wouldn't wear his gear. It's not about looks, it's about feel.

I think you havent read what i have writen. You dont wear your protection for good looks. It dosent matter that you will sweat inside your leather. You always wear your protection for other people mistakes. I was dump like you before my first crash (you can see a vide of my bike and my operation in my videos) and after that (lucky i have survived) i always wear my protection. It wasnt my mistake to make the accident. It was a fucking jeep that run over a red light

By the looks of the people its defenetly not hot. I wear leather even in 86° F, because i know what happens when you slide on the road.

...that's the point. If you have to protect yourself against other people's mistakes then you're better off just not leaving the house. You're going from point A to B. The leather pants are hot as fuck. You stop there and then what? Sweat for hours until you decide to go back? Proper fitted bike pants won't allow for second pants underneath and he has no trunk. It was his risk to take and the pants MIGHT have not helped stop the break. We don't know.

The bike was on green light.... I am saying that if you want to ride in a city always wear your protection gear, and dont ride in jeans.... By the looks of the video its not hot outside, so there is no excuse to not wear full leather gear.

So this guy essentially admitted to driving in downtown St Louis without looking at the road for at least 15 seconds.

It is a very sad thing when any driver says they "looked up" (at the road) for any reason. You are DRIVING, what else were you looking at?

I'll be honest, I get really tired of these punk bitch little stunt bike riders. I'm sure they were doing stupid shit all day since they were recording, but that sucks getting hit on your own green light. It was green for some time, at that. Hope that dude heals up well.

Peace of advice though, quite doing stupid shit on public roads.
