Saw this move used by the AB team of the late eighties which resulted in a
try. Don't know if this would work today as defensive structures are more
advanced these days. Also the attacking team likes to play closer and
flatter to the gain line rather than behind it to avoid getting caught and
losing possession.

This guy sounds exsactly like tom hardy

Автор William Ratusaki ( назад)
I think 10 and 12 should be deep enough to allow the play to work...

Автор Joe Phillips ( назад)
All you idiots saying this doesn't work obviously haven't seen the
thousands of tries scored this way.. dumb asses

Автор tomula2 ( назад)
With all of the runners cramming the middle space, they all becoming
sitting ducks. The 12 is holding the ball long enough for the defence to
hold as well and then.....1, 2, 3,......smash (call the ambulance). Dont
try that move in NZ, you will get nailed..LOL

Автор Shaksta ( назад)
[10] can possibly keep running wide outside [OW] to be in support if the
move works and the [BW] or [FB] make a break in the opposition defence

Автор Shaksta ( назад)
[12] should dummy the [10] (as he already is) BUT then still facing FORWARD
dummy to his right for the [13] (who is still an option) and flick and
no-look pass to the [BW].

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching ( назад)
This is a demonstration, performed slowly for people to copy. It's of a
move used regularly by players of all abilities.

Автор magib0p ( назад)
I don't think that 12 sells the dummy at all in this video

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching ( назад)
12 has to make the decision about whether the move is on or not. The move
is used regularly by players of all abilities and no-one ever dies or gets
hit if the move is on.

wtf i wonder if they really would do this one in a real game 12 is dead for

Автор 009Armo ( назад)
12 would brake his back if caught

Автор Toby Wilkes ( назад)
poor number 12 !!

Автор newstart2c ( назад)
this is a brilliant move

Автор NZsquadron ( назад)
lol how old is this shit, teams have worked out to blitz this a long time
ago, need to watch crusaders vs sharks super 15 2011 game at twickenham,
that move was voted the best set piece move of the season

Автор korbin fearing ( назад)
@BetterRugbyCoaching If you stop, so does the D, and for a blitz.. Uhh I'd
just give the 1-2 loop option and send it wide.

Автор korbin fearing ( назад)
Woahh I play 12, and I'll turn around any day, I have the ball tucked you
should be worried about the switch and if you're not I'm dishing that first
option. No way i'm getting smashed. Remember all those players can catch
the ball. Read the D.

this is a terrible idea for a play, 0/10 times this will work cause by the
time the BS comes around ur inside is going to get hammered along with this
won't fake anybody out.

Автор alex22293 ( назад)
@BetterRugbyCoaching how would the 12 know if the play ison or not if he is
not facing the right way? this is a terrible move seeing as the defnece
would kill the 12 if they are playing a press defence and even if their not
the 12 doesnt have a clue if the play is on or not because he cant see the

nice forward pass.

Автор Oliver Burke ( назад)
Rarely seen a player have time to pump fake 2 or 3 times. Only time w/ back
turned is tricky All Blacks play from a penalty. This move likely to have
initial success. But once 12 shows her/himself exposed like that once, I,
as a 7, would have a chat w/ my 10 & 12 to cover the rest, & I would fly at
that 12 as hard as I could next time. (maybe that's the point). Dangerous
to have back turned against sprinting opposition on a rugby pitch. Tape
prompts entertaining discussion, though :).

15 would have him

Автор Dan Cottrell ( назад)
Works at the top level. See the Gareth Thomas try for the Barbarians v
England in 2008. It won't "break your back"

Автор Valencius (413 года назад)
they'll break your back

Автор sargares18 ( назад)
looks a good move, the problem is pulling it off. playing colts atm and
there are maybe 3 backs with good hands. i feel like twice the player when
playing with club first team because there is always a good pass and always
support. and when i offload, they actualy catch rather than than knock it
on. it seems unless your playing at a decent level, anything even remotely
effective has to be ruled out.

Автор scottyriorc ( назад)
davesworld why are you even commenting on a rugby video your from the
united states it isnt american football lol

Автор siakidutch ( назад)
Good move. Better rugby coaching always have some good moves, especially
the backs.

Please don't swear.

This is, of course, a training clip. The speed the move needs to be
performed at depends on the sbility of the players and the quality of the
