This move worked In the ITM cup this year. Saw it work like a month ago

Автор Maryn Duffy (7 месяцев)
what year is this 1972? how many 12's do you have on your team?

Автор whatand1 (10 месяцев)
I am sorry but that 12 would be getting stretchered off against any decent
defence if he turned his back like that.

Автор Henzary (11 месяцев)
Saw this move used by the AB team of the late eighties which resulted in a
try. Don't know if this would work today as defensive structures are more
advanced these days. Also the attacking team likes to play closer and
flatter to the gain line rather than behind it to avoid getting caught and
losing possession.

Автор Valencius (5 лет)
they'll break your back

Автор olliejames08 (5 лет)
10 and 12 need to be flat and not run forward at all for this to work. done
it many times. if 12 runs its to hard for both 11 and 13 to time their runs
perfectly with a defence coming on to them

Автор jake4ash (5 лет)
well i play 12 or 15 an if my opposite man was like that i would love it.
he woudnt be getting up.

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching (2 года)
This is a demonstration, performed slowly for people to copy. It's of a
move used regularly by players of all abilities.

Автор NZsquadron (3 года)
lol how old is this shit, teams have worked out to blitz this a long time
ago, need to watch crusaders vs sharks super 15 2011 game at twickenham,
that move was voted the best set piece move of the season

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching (5 лет)
Please don't swear.

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching (2 года)
12 has to make the decision about whether the move is on or not. The move
is used regularly by players of all abilities and no-one ever dies or gets
hit if the move is on.

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching (5 лет)
12 tends not to get smashed, but has got to make the decision about whether
the move is on or not

Автор weightonboy (3 года)
easy to defend against this move. Referees will also give benefit of the
doubt - when a man is hiding the ball with back to opposition. The blind
side winger's run is broadcasted - the defence can be static and just make
the tackle from a flat position easily. And in the Barbarians try against
England - there was every opportunity to SMASH the man poncing about
selling dummies. It was just poor defending by England. Straight up.

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching (5 лет)
12 tends not to get "murdered", but has got to make the decision about
whether the move is on or not. The move is used regularly by players of all
abilities.

Автор korbin fearing (3 года)
Woahh I play 12, and I'll turn around any day, I have the ball tucked you
should be worried about the switch and if you're not I'm dishing that first
option. No way i'm getting smashed. Remember all those players can catch
the ball. Read the D.

Автор newstart2c (3 года)
this is a brilliant move

Автор aph22293 (3 года)
so what happens when the defence is playing a blitz defence? 12 ends up in
hospital?

Автор 009Armo (2 года)
12 would brake his back if caught

Автор davesworld716 (5 лет)
you guys would get murked if you were turned around and doing that pump
faking shit i mean itas cool just need to do it quiker

Автор Oliver Burke (4 года)
Rarely seen a player have time to pump fake 2 or 3 times. Only time w/ back
turned is tricky All Blacks play from a penalty. This move likely to have
initial success. But once 12 shows her/himself exposed like that once, I,
as a 7, would have a chat w/ my 10 & 12 to cover the rest, & I would fly at
that 12 as hard as I could next time. (maybe that's the point). Dangerous
to have back turned against sprinting opposition on a rugby pitch. Tape
prompts entertaining discussion, though :).

Автор scottyriorc (5 лет)
davesworld why are you even commenting on a rugby video your from the
united states it isnt american football lol

Автор PRFC10 (2 года)
Too slow, the pressure from defence would cause 12 to get mullered, awful
move.

Автор dodger2k11 (4 года)
15 would have him

Автор Bryce A (3 года)
this is a terrible idea for a play, 0/10 times this will work cause by the
time the BS comes around ur inside is going to get hammered along with this
won't fake anybody out.

Автор Shaksta (1 год)
[12] should dummy the [10] (as he already is) BUT then still facing FORWARD
dummy to his right for the [13] (who is still an option) and flick and
no-look pass to the [BW].

Автор magib0p (2 года)
I don't think that 12 sells the dummy at all in this video

Автор Shaksta (1 год)
[10] can possibly keep running wide outside [OW] to be in support if the
move works and the [BW] or [FB] make a break in the opposition defence

Автор rugge123 (5 лет)
this move is brilliant when done right. Especially with the back line being
further back of a scrum, and if the defense isnt blitzing the whole game it
is a great move to use.

Автор greeneye145 (1 год)
This guy sounds exsactly like tom hardy

Автор korbin fearing (3 года)
@BetterRugbyCoaching If you stop, so does the D, and for a blitz.. Uhh I'd
just give the 1-2 loop option and send it wide.

Автор joel123465 (5 лет)
12 would get smashed!

Автор Toby Wilkes (3 года)
poor number 12 !!

Автор Joe Phillips (1 год)
All you idiots saying this doesn't work obviously haven't seen the
thousands of tries scored this way.. dumb asses

Автор BetterRugbyCoaching (5 лет)
This is, of course, a training clip. The speed the move needs to be
performed at depends on the sbility of the players and the quality of the
opposition.

Автор tomula2 (1 год)
With all of the runners cramming the middle space, they all becoming
sitting ducks. The 12 is holding the ball long enough for the defence to
hold as well and then.....1, 2, 3,......smash (call the ambulance). Dont
try that move in NZ, you will get nailed..LOL

Автор berniebreak123 (5 лет)
I totally agree sargares18. Its so frustrating.

Автор jake4ash (5 лет)
12 would get murdered. you cant turn around into a tackle. thats jus askin
to be smashed in the back.

Автор sargares18 (5 лет)
looks a good move, the problem is pulling it off. playing colts atm and
there are maybe 3 backs with good hands. i feel like twice the player when
playing with club first team because there is always a good pass and always
support. and when i offload, they actualy catch rather than than knock it
on. it seems unless your playing at a decent level, anything even remotely
effective has to be ruled out.

Автор Sam Richel (2 года)
wtf i wonder if they really would do this one in a real game 12 is dead for
sure

Автор alex22293 (4 года)
@BetterRugbyCoaching how would the 12 know if the play ison or not if he is
not facing the right way? this is a terrible move seeing as the defnece
would kill the 12 if they are playing a press defence and even if their not
the 12 doesnt have a clue if the play is on or not because he cant see the
opposition.

Автор Dan Cottrell (5 лет)
Works at the top level. See the Gareth Thomas try for the Barbarians v
England in 2008. It won't "break your back"

Автор MrMoPie (4 года)
nice forward pass.

Автор William Ratusaki (1 год)
I think 10 and 12 should be deep enough to allow the play to work...

Автор siakidutch (5 лет)
Good move. Better rugby coaching always have some good moves, especially
the backs.

Автор kylewyote3 (5 лет)
needs to be way quicker...blind side needs to be WAY WAY quicker
