Nemesis popping out every 10 seconds, and even after killing him, him getting back up. The controls and camera angle added to not knowing how to attack him, adding to the Horror/Survival effect. I'm not saying that they are bad games, but except for Lost in Nightmares, RE5 wasn't as scary as RE3. I'll admit, RE3 wasn't without it's flaws. The dodge system was problematic, and ammo was as easy as to find/make, but it still had one good storyline. I like them both, but for different reasons

Now to answer your question about how it was more of an action game than 5? More ammo in RE3 than RE5. Powerful weapons, explosive canisters, duck, dodge, roll, and push/system. The multiple choices in 3 made it feel like an rpg. mercenaries in RE 3 would have been a full pledged shooter if the controls weren't crappy. while RE5 was an action/adventure, it had lost in nightmares which was creepier than anything re3 dished out at you.

Sometimes while not pushing any buttons you would automatically dodge. The dodge system was random, yet the instruction booklet said tap right trigger just before being attacked to dodge. Checkpoints are better than having to save at some retarded type writer along with the magic item box. Been a fan since 97. Hell, It's ABOUT TIME Resident Evil evolved!
