Where in NY? Looks like fun--I live on the Island and have a 96 5.2 ZJ,
stock height but all new suspension, etc.

It's always funny to see people off roading with their ball hitch still in,

Good vid dude. If the hill is off camber I start at the high side and then
turn into the slide it builds momentum.

@kiteLe06 Continued.... 96-98 Quadra Trac runs at 10/90. Its almost 2WD on
the road. It runs on the viscous coupler, not an open diff like the older
QT or select trac. Because of this when you make turns you have stiff
steering. When the rear wheels spin power moves to the front, and only 50%
max. there is a low lock if you dont want the delay and it will lock it to
50/50. QT in the 96-98 is better then select trac and older QT because of
the 100% power thing i mentioned

Автор levin o ( назад)
@kiteLe06 all of you are wrong Select trac Fulltime, runs 50/50 on a center
open diffl if one wheel spins 100% power can go to that wheel causing you
to get stuck. If you put it in part time or low it locks the center diff to
50/50 Quadra trac in the 93-95 is 50/50 open diff with a viscous coupler
when a wheel spins the VC moves power, but it too can move 100% to a
spinning wheel, and it has no low lock.. I'll continue cause im running
outa space......

Автор levin o ( назад)
@82scoobied Wrong fulltime in the select trac DOES NOT work like quadra
trac... Quadra trac in the 96-98's use a viscous coupler and can only move
50% power to the front wheels. Select trac in fulltime is an open
differential and if the front tire spins 100% power goes to that 1 wheel
making off-roading difficult on slippery surfaces like this. However you
have part time or low which locks it 50/50 so power wont go 100% like that

I could do this in idle in myy 2011 grand cherokee

Автор Dotchetter ( назад)
Yeah these Jeeps are unstoppable, just put some better tires on. And i know
that You know you need it already =)

Автор asssface2000 ( назад)
somebody teach that faggot how to drive!!!!!

Автор AJ Hainstock ( назад)
@moparmaniac21 ya i got the same in my 93 grand cherokee. 2wd, part time,
4hi and 4low. 4hi is just basicly AWD for snow, dry road and wet road. and
part time locks the drive shafts together. i can feel it pulling stronger
from the front when in part time to. al thou mind you. i muddy rise like
that i would have probably used my 4low selection to climb that in one or 2

Автор moparmaniac21 ( назад)
@kiteLe06 I put a new case in my 96 that I got from a salvage yard. These
ZJ's are everywhere shouldnt be to hard to find one. And no I am 110% sure
that the full time with the selec is the same as quadra, because like I
stated before in full time you can drive on pavement.....just like with
quadra-trac. Pop it in PT and you can feel the front end pulling stronger,
and it says in owners manual to never be in part time while on dry roads.

Автор kiteLe06 ( назад)
@moparmaniac21 I know the 242 is better, im looking for one for my 98 ZJ
actually, i'd like the 2 weel drive option. However im pretty sure that
quadra tracs ful time is the same as selectrac's part time.

Автор moparmaniac21 ( назад)
@kiteLe06 no part time with the selec-trac is not at all like quadra-trac.
You CANNOT TOUCH pavement in part time whereas in quadra-trac its mean to
drive on dry roads, and my full time is can do that also, so ie my full
time is the same as quadra-trac. And the 242 case is way better, ask most
any ZJ owner that wheels

Автор kiteLe06 ( назад)
@moparmaniac21 the quadra trac isnt technically all wheel drive. its 4x4.
it is the exact same as any other 4x4 vehicle thats in 4hi, only you cant
shift out of 4 high. the full time on the 242 isnt the same as as the full
time on the quad trac. The selec trac's part time is the same as quadra
tracs full time..

Автор moparmaniac21 ( назад)
I'm willing to bet that you have Quadra-Trac full time AWD...its no good. I
got a 96 ZJ with the Selec-Trac 242 case and it has part-time and full-time
4wd the part-time locks the axles together. When I am in AWD I will start
to struggle and I'll go into part-time and its pulled me out of everything.

There is no hole in the exhaust, there is just no exhaust.
