thats sweet man, not many people have the guts to put so much money into these cars, as there seen as a waste of money and "just a celica", i live in australia too and theres 2 insane celicas goin around canberra that i see around, theres one candy apple red one but has black on it to and a crazy kit, engine rebuild, and and sounds beautiful, and theres another red one but different red and its a gt4 with the front disabled but it has a v8 in it and goes like a nazi, :)

Hi, the motor in this form was mostly stock. The motor is heavly modified now thou please have a look at my Cardomain page for a list of all the upgrades to the motor now. Will have some new videos soon!

I have a gt4, and... yeah i can say, GT4's are still expensive. Cheap to Buy, expensive to fix.

I've just redone the power steering, suspension, driveshafts, exhaust, electrical system and SOON headgasket and tuning...

All up I've spent about ~$10,000 just to restore the car to a legal state after it got defected. Waynes car is still crazy though and I bet it weighs a lot less than a GT4 lol!

Because when I bought the car 10 years ago I couldn't afford one and now GT4s are just old and outdated, most of them need alot of work too!

The blacktop is a good swap but if you can find a cheap BEAMS Id go that route! I need the hoodscoop on their as the quads sit right upaganist the firewall and its my only source of air intake for the motor. Yea the tribal graphics are all show, I like rice too! :D

When you say blacktop I'm assuming you mean the greytop from the Caldina's? Blacktops were all RWD! If your using the Caldina motor just remember its auto so if you dont want auto you will need some bits.

i want to do this swap into my 91 st, or the 4age 20v blacktop. 163 stock hp. i just wish youd take the hoodscoop off. and the flames. that blue is tight. not the ricer flames.

Hi Cordius, Sorry about the late reply! The exhaust is a custom 3" system and the bodykit is also custom. The hood scoop is from a WRX STI... its the biggest one I could find to fit over the quads! The BEAMS half cut cost me about $2500 a few years ago now, cheers!

I am thinking about putting a 3SGE BEAMS engine (blacktop) in my 1990 celica, is there anything else mechanical wise i would need to modify. ie axles, drive shaft or mounts?

What exhaust is that? Also, what body kit and where's the hood scoop from? Lastly, where'd you get the BEAMS and what did it cost you?

Ok quick update from myself! Aside from the exhaust system and the ITB's the motor (3SGE BEAMS) in this video is stock. The motor is currently interstate getting forged, balanced and lightened so will be extra nice to have it when its all done!

Before the internal upgrades started I actually had to fit 3 mufflers to the car as the noise was just too loud for a daily. Many updates have happen since this video so will try post more videos for you all soon!

I take it that this is not stock 3sge Beams.
What is the upgrade ITB's from, and is that the only mod? And exhaust what are you running, no cat I assume?

Nice car by the way, like how the motor wakes up when you downshift. ;-)

Nice car man, love the celicas! Have an st202 myself. Thinking about putting on indiviual throttle bodies but having trouble finding any info at all. Can you give me a rough guide? price etc.

While I'm at it the motor is being forged and balanced so when its back on the road I'll be sure to upload some new videos for you all.
