It`s so funny you know?, lots of people are nagging about RE 4 and RE 5 being to mutch of a straight action game then a true RE game. But still it`s their favorite RE game.

this game is fun but, i got to about chaper 4, and i encountered one of those chainsaw dudes and he kicked my ass over and over and over. fun game, but i suck balls at it.

The lines are soo stupid, and their voice acting laughable
"¡Mierda!", "¡eh, aca!´", "¡Un forastero!" LOL
They almost sound like robots!
and of course, Superman Leon Kennedy saves the day rescuing the Usa president´s missing daughter. Killing lots of spanish people. Yay everybody´s happy ... -_-

Trust me you get used to it pretty quick. Honestly if you COULD move and shoot at the same time the game would no where near as fun.

haha i can't help but laugh when he said this game is scarey as hell

i didn't find this game scarey at all the only thing that bothered me was the loudness of the item pickups . when you have played the fatal frame series and silent hill 1-4 back to back only then will you be truly scared :D

RE4 is best survival-horror genre! But there is lacking of subtitles in this game. This game need subtitles so anyone can enjoy this game.

Yo what up I just made a new track called resident evil. It's really good I added a bunch of samples from resident evil part 1, 2 and 3. From my old PS1 by connecting it to my PC. while re4 didn't produce anywhere near the amount of scares as the original 3 .... it (in my opinion) still generated a few scares and is a better horror game then re5 who just throws the "horror" feel out the window .... lets hope re6 hits closer to home

Resident Evil 0 and the remake of the original tittle proved that the classic controls and fixed camera angels were not wearing out their welcome. The controls stiffened the learning curve and the camera angels added to the horror aspect of the game. When you needed to make a quick escape the controls slowed you down, increase your sheer terror tenfold. Resident Evil 4 is amazing but those that have not played the originals really should.

Not to mention that some people say things like "the controls are so much better than past RE games", when in actuality, the controls are nearly (if not completely) identical to older RE games. The only thing that makes them really feel any different is the different camera perspective.

Derek I think this is your best review. You really do RE4 justice while bringing up its shortcomings (although few in number).

Don't worry about him. You not liking the original trilogy and thinking 4 is the best doesn't affect him. He's just lashing out at you because he's upset at the direction the series has taken(which is understandable) and is taking it out on you. As long as people feel the originals are archaic whether its a large or small group he feels threatened. If that's is not the case I can't see why he would try to change YOUR OPINION to match HIS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The clunky controls are what makes it survival horror. If you could control the character like any other shooter, you wouldn't feel handicapped and out of place in the game, but rather having a blast and a piece of cake, eliminating the unnerving feeling it's supposed to give you.

It's not. The 360 & PS3 version is the Gamecube version with the PS2 extras added on. The reason why the original Gamcube version might appear better to the eye to some, is because not being in HD, the texture flaws are not magnified. But, if that HD factor bothers you, you can always turn the HD off on your system, or play it on a standard definition tube set. While HD does make certain texture flaws more noticeable, the overall effect of the HD, makes the game look great.
