they had different tunes for different races, they probably had the Qualifier tune on that game

It wasn't the car that Monster Tajima has run more recently, but one of the earlier versions of it. Although the Suzuki has remained relatively unchanged for the last five or six years. Toyota won't build a competitor to go against it because this wasn't a Toyota entry. It was Millens company who built and entered the car.

It did beat the Escudo. It set the record of 10 minutes 4 seconds in 1994 and beat the Suzuki a few times. The record stood til 2007 when Monster and the Suzuki broke it by three seconds. This was only after some of the climb had been paved though, so many people disregard it.

Question: why doesn't Toyota make a high performance car like this? Something to buck the current supercar tradition, y'know? It'll be totally extreme, but in a brand new way than a usual supercar.
