@davidds0 See reply to prickrolled below. I can use it to buy more thermal cameras. I could bolt them to a helmet for stereo.

New info: a 3in thermal lens w/4in focal length doesn't gather enough sunlight to char paper or set fires. No invisible death ray, damn. Needs to be larger dia. Or perhaps use germanium instead of silicon.
