Weskers Sledge Hammer kick and Hunks Neckbreak are entertaining to use, even if the neckbreak is about headshots and only take one life per usage, its still a nice feeling when you dance from one ganado to another,lol.

If you have the PC version, there are mods that allow you to transfer animations to other characters, so you can have Leon doing the Chikyo Chagi, or Ashley doing the Suplex, etc.

nicholai10 is correct. The Chikyo Chagi is an Axe Kick. I take Tae Kwon Do, and there are 3 types. The back leg Axe Kick (The Chikyo Chagi), the Step Axe Kick (Same, but step in with one leg, then kick with other), and the turning jump Axe Kick (Start like Ada's Fan Kick, but perform a Chikyo Chagi instead). I've won a lot of Tournaments using the Chikyo Chagi. One problem with my version of RE4 though. Instead of a Chikyo Chagi, it's a Chikyo "Catch". Is it a glitch, or is it normal?

search it in wiki. im not so sure about "reverse" chikyo chagi but chikyo chagi means axe kick.

The starting phase involves the foot being moved in an arc up and forward, like a crescent kick. The arc motion is stopped, and the attacking foot is brought down to strike the target from above, in imitation of an axe. The arc can be performed in either an inward (counter-clockwise) or outward (clockwise) fashion.

Yes, I know how lethal they can be. I just wanted to know exactly which variety of Chikyo Chagi Wesker uses in RE4, if he performs it properly, and why it was "distinctly Korean" enough to use that term. There's only so many ways to punch and kick, after all--surely there must be many names for techniques shared across the various MA styles.

Another character famous for this kick is probably Hwaorang from the Tekken series. It was pretty powerful in Tekken 4, but it was slow to use.

Well its kind of hard to explain since i know tae kwon do myself but depending on how you stand (example- the left or right side of your body is facing towards the opponent or your whole front body or back is facing towards the opponent) you can do all kinds of axe kicks. Some can vary in damage from insane concussion to death (Seriously!)

yes in korean it means axe kick but in a more decriptive term its called the reverse axe kick

This is one of the manliest videos ever. I did the same run a few days ago and it was awesome! I'm going to do a Thrust Punch run next, because even though it's not quite as badass as this, i still prefer it.
