really? windows XP?? Windows 8 is about to be released a couple of months from now, and you want to install windows XP?? To be honest, each and every single laptop today has so much hardware potential, that you would be wasting it with XP.. Might as well buy a $1200 Alienware, if you put XP on it, it will run like any other 2006 laptop.

Found the problem, you need to open your Skype then go to Audio Settings -> then change the Microphone type to Internal Microphone, that was my problem.

I'm having the same problem! Mine is red and I've tried mostly everything. Actually tryna update my version of skype to see if it may work better..Please let me know if you find a solution
