If Wikipedia, almost singlehandedly, managed to basically shelve SOPA and PIPA, then could we do more?
An even more dangerous bill is being voted upon at the moment, named ACTA.
My solution? Do what Wikipedia did.
If we can get companies to shut down their websites temporarily, there will be no internet to have unfair rules enforced upon.
Like the Wiki blackout, but far, FAR larger.
Think: Wiki blackout= 162 million people saw.

When this law is passed these things will happen.
1. Every one who is involved in piracy will be arrested.
2. Every website will be taken off making every on pissed off!
3.For the companies that want this, so that we will buy their stuff. Every one will boycott it or all the people that were arrested won't be able to buy, making the bill useless
4.We are in a crisis and they try to come up with solutions and we get THIS!?

I was trying to make a reference to George Orwell's 1984 and connect it with SOPA and PIPA. Perhaps it needed a bit more added to it however I am attempting to imply that by passing SOPA or PIPA we would be starting down the road towards the extreme that Mr. Orwell showed in his novel.

if SOPA/PIPA passes then it would impact the economy even more and cause problems to jobs that people have jobs on the internet. Facebook, Youtube, Wikipedia and other popular sites would go down. the internet would be somewhat of a ghost and only history of once to be sensations. if their is a problem THEY need to remove it! not make veryone suffer because of it!
